***汎熱帯海流散布植物の系統地理学的研究 [#g570c518]
> 汎熱帯海流散布植物とは海流を利用して種子などの散布体を運ばせることにより,全世界の熱帯域に分布を広げた植物である.代表的な植物には,グンパイヒルガオ,ナガミハマナタマメ,オオハマボウなどがある.1種の植物が熱帯域で地球を一周するような特異な分布パターンを獲得するに至った過程と,極めて広い分布域の中で種を維持するために必要な必要な遺伝子交流の程度を,葉緑体DNAと核DNAの塩基配列による解析やフラグメント解析(AFLP、マイクロサテライト)などの手法を用いて明らかにしようとしている.
***マメ科植物の系統分類学的研究 [#nee169fb]
> マメ科は種子植物のうち3番目に大きな科で,多くの有用植物を含んでいる.マメ科全体を広くカバーするようなサンプルを用いて,葉緑体DNAのrbcL遺伝子の塩基配列による系統解析を行い,分子データとそれ以外の形質によって推定される系統関係を比較した.得られた結果から,マメ科全体の分類体系について問題点を指摘し,今後の研究の方向性を示した.また,全世界の熱帯域から温帯域にかけて分布する約400種からなるヌスビトハギ連の植物についても同様の研究を行った.
